21 Singers From Omaha Idol Auditions Make it to Hollywood

OMAHA (KPTM)- Thousands of singers came to Omaha in August to perform for American Idol producers. Dozens were called back in October to perform for the judges. During Omaha's episode of American Idol Thursday night, 21 made it through to Hollywood.

Several of the signers are from the Omaha area. They include, Quaid Edwards of Papillion, Tyler Marshall of Omaha, Alyssa Siebken of Fremont, Cha'Fonna Landrum of Omaha and Paula Hunt of Bellevue.

Edwards is an Omaha area college student. He said he learned he could sing a few years ago when his fraternity brothers made it him do Greek Idol. Paula Hunt has been singing for the Heartland of America Band through Offutt Air Force Base.

Others that auditioned in Omaha and made it through include, Maiden Walker of Ankeny, IA, Christopher Jones of Missouri, Dajontae Lenear of Minnesota, Andrina Brogden of North Dakota, Kayle Tingle of South Dakota, Dani Heikkila of Iowa, Caitlin Davis of Kansas, Simeon Twitty of South Carolina, Tessa Kate of Arkansas, Paul White of South Dakota, Jack Janowicz of Wisconsin, Dylan Becker of Missouri, Tyler Gurwicz of Vermont, Casey McQuillen of Massachusetts and Matthew Hamel of Missouri.
