Area Police Departments Deal With Two Friday Pursuits

OMAHA (KPTM) - Two police departments in the Omaha area dealt with suspects running from officers after hitting officers in both cases.

Two men were arrested just after noon Friday near 120th and Bennington Road after leading officers on a chase that reached speeds of 115 miles per hour.

Police say the men assaulted a police officer near the Omaha Country Club. Police say the men gave up and were taken into custody.

The assaulted officer was hit in the hand and said he would go to the hospital himself for an X-ray.

Friday morning at about 9:15, Council Bluffs police officers chased a stolen pickup truck near 35th and Avenue G. Police say the truck hit a police cruiser and drove into Omaha on the I-480 bridge.

Police are looking for a maroon Ford F-350 truck with Iowa license plates.
