OMAHA (KPTM)- The Omaha City Council discussed the possibility of making parking too close to driveways illegal.
The specific length would be three feet way from residential driveways.
"We have a lot of multi-car families on my street. We also have narrow driveways, so folks have to park on the street. Across the street there are stretches where two cars can't fit and keep three feet between the cars and the driveways," said Joel High from his home on 49th street in South Omaha.
"People would have to walk and in the winter that would be really bad because they have to walk over snow banks. People just want to park next to their homes and get home," said High.
The fine would be $16.00. The City Council is expected to vote on the issue next Tuesday.
