Omaha (KPTM) - This Tuesday the City Council will review the U.N.O. Arena property for rezoning.
Bruce Carpenter of HDR Architects presented the proposed changes to the planning board last week.
The complex will take up around 70 acres and deals with a creek that runs through the middle of it.
The city has agreed to spend $6.3 million for public areas. These costs will cover rights-of-way and street system extensions.
It's being called the "hockey" arena, but will also be used for volleyball and basketball.
In addition, there will be an area for training and recreational skating.
The arena is still part of the U.N.O. campus, at on the southwest corner of 64th Avenue & West Center.
