Doctor Accused in Murders Connected to Creighton in Court Tuesday
OMAHA (KPTM) - The Indiana man accused of killing four people tied to a Creighton Medical School department will make his first appearance in a Douglas County courtroom Tuesday morning.
Dr. Anthony Garcia was booked into Douglas County Corrections just after 5:30 Thursday evening. He will have a bond hearing at 9am on Tuesday.
Garcia was extradited from Illinois, where he was arrested earlier this week.
He faces four counts of first-degree murder in Omaha in connection to the May deaths of Creighton University pathologist Roger Brumback and his wife, Mary. Garcia is also accused of killing 11-year-old Thomas Hunter and his family's housekeeper, Shirlee Sherman, in March 2008.
