Dodge Street Resurfacing to Create Omaha Traffic Headache for 2 Months
OMAHA (KPTM) - Omaha drivers will have a rough commute for the next couple of months. Monday morning, three of five lanes of Dodge in midtown will close for a major resurfacing project.
Sunday evening, crews were already closing side streets. By 10pm, most of Dodge between 52nd to 30th Street was closed.
The city says the south three lanes will close for about a month. Dodge traffic through the area will be one way in each direction. When the south lanes are finished, traffic will switch to two lanes on the newly paved south lanes.
The city says it will close the center lane so two lanes on each side can be completed at the same time more quickly and safely.
