Severe Weather Watch: Omaha Area To Likely Have Severe Storms Sunday Afternoon, Evening

OMAHA (KPTM) - The National Weather Service says isolated thunderstorms will move into the area in the early afternoon, and could develop into more storms between 4 and 6 p.m.

More storms could develop and spread into the evening, the NWS says.

Area emergency officials are also warning campers and people using area rivers and lakes to stay aware of the potential for heavy winds, lightning, and branches falling.

In 2012, three campers were injured camping at Lake Manawa when a storm caused a large branch to fall on their tent.
