Three Thieves Tied to ATM Theft Spree

OMAHA (KPTM)- Omaha Police think three thieves have been trying to steal ATM's from several Omaha locations over the past two months.

The most recent attempt happened Wednesday morning at the Bag and Save near 50th and Grover.

The thieves broke a window, tied a chain to an ATM and tried to drive off. The break-in set off an alarm. The thieves got away empty handed and left in a van.

Police believe the thieves were able to steal other ATM's over the last few months. They said there have been other unsuccessful attempts as well.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
