OMAHA (KPTM)- Thiswinter has been one of the worst Omaha has seen in years.
Infact, farmer Roy Smith has not seen anything like this in his 45 years offarming.
"Theworst thing is we had very little rain late this summer, like from the middleof June to the end of the year and we've had hardly any snow so there is nomoisture built up and we will have to have some built up somewhere to keep thecorps alive," said Smith.
Ifthings do not get better, beef prices could skyrocket along with corn, unlessOmaha sees more rain.
"There is a whole scale of possibilitiesfrom disaster to a pretty good crop," said Smith.
It just all depends on the amount ofrain we get.
