A kept promise lands principal duct-taped to wall
OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) —
Children at one elementary school were treated with a special reward Friday afternoon because they were able to exceed their goal of raising $25,000.
The children got to duct-tape their principal and vice-principal to the wall.
The administrators agreed if the school met the goal and the kids were able to raise more than $26,000 they would let them do that.
As it turns out, it gets warm when you're covered in all that tape.
"Truly is a team effort,” said Lynette Keyes, principal of Standing Bear Elementary. “It’s everyone working together for the betterment of the school and when you say you're going to do something you follow through no matter how warm or painful it may be."
Money from fundraising efforts will go toward new iPads, playground equipment and school improvements.
