The Baby Steps Walk will take place Saturday to promote prenatal care for low-income women.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Psi Zeta Chapter, will host the fundraising event at the Fontenelle Park Pavilion from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Registration will take place from 7:15 a.m. to 8 a.m.

The funds raised will be donated to the local Stork's Nest site at The Nebraska Medical Olson Center for Women’s Health.

The Stork’s Nest is a cooperative project of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the March of Dimes Foundation, in existence for more than forty years.

Stork’s Nest aims to increase the number of low-income women receiving early and regular prenatal care in an effort to prevent cases of low birth-weight, premature births, and infant deaths.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Stork’s Nest can be made online by registering for the event.

You can organize and register a team of 10 for $90 before Aug. 20th.

Any teams of 10 organized from Aug. 21-Aug. 26 can be registered for $100.

Individuals can register for $10 per person.

Donations are also being accepted.
