Blood drive at Fontenelle Forest helps victims of Las Vegas shooting and recent hurricanes
A blood drive is now helping victims of the recent hurricanes and last month’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.
At Fontenelle Forest, people are donating their blood to help those in need.
The Red Cross hosted the blood drive.
The support was so overwhelming that the Red Cross ran out of supplies.
"I wish that people didn't wait until tragedy happens for them to donate, but it's really important for them to donate often because you never know when you might be a blood transfusion or when a family member might need it," said Jereise Major of the Red Cross.
The Red Cross says when a disaster strikes, the blood on the shelves goes first, and that's why it's important to donate regularly.
