OMAHA, Ne, (FOX42KPTM)- 34 students from Brownell Talbot are heading to the Vex Robotics World Championship competition in Louisville, KY.

Brownell Talbot has three middle school teams and three upper school teams competing at Worlds this week. The three middle school teams are three of the only four teams in the entire state of Nebraska to qualify for Worlds.

"I have really enjoyed trying to overcome the fundamental challenges for the game every year. Robotics has helped me earn this problem-solving mentality that I try to carry through in different classes like math and sciences. I'm really happy that finally, in my senior year, we've managed to accomplish our goal and make it to Worlds," said Brett Graves, '18.

The students have been designing, building, and practicing since the beginning of the school year in September.

The World Championship will include top teams from over 1,400 VEX Robotics Competition tournaments that took place in cities around the world this year.
