The College World Series is arguably the biggest event to hit Omaha.

And it's not just Ameritrade Park feeling the heat.

Businesses all over the city, especially downtown are just as busy.

Goodnights is right across from Gate 2, and manager Pat MceEvoy said the rush to be ready starts months in advance.

Massive beer and liquor orders, cutting down the menu, creating CWS drink specials are just a few things Goodnights does to get ready for the two week event.

Another Omaha staple also gets ready with plenty of time to spare.

The Dugout is just across the street from Gate 1 and the World Series statue.

And owner, Rich Tokheim said this is no doubt the busiest time of the year.

The Dugout is the only vendor in Omaha with a multitude of team merchandise and even some vintage items for those fans feeling nostalgic.

Both businesses were up to its ears in preparations for Saturday's opening ceremonies.

But both men said they agree that there's nothing like the College World Series in Omaha.
