Car flies off interstate, lands below
OMAHA, Neb(FOX 42 KPTM)-- Omaha traffic investigators are looking into exactly what caused a driver to fly off I-480 Monday night and crash below.
It happened a bit before 8 where Hwy 75 meets the interstate.
Officers say a Toyota Camry was getting onto the on ramp from I-480 Westbound to Northbound Hwy 75 and going too fast. They say the Toyota weaved back and forth, lost control, and drove off the road. Officers say the Toyota hit the crash cushion on the bridge then rolled off.
Officers say Ah Khae from Omaha was driving. Khae was not badly hurt, although was taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges are pending.
Sar Beh was in the passenger seat. They had to be taken to the hospital for two broken ankles.
Police had I-480 westbound closed through highway 75 for several hours.
