Clean-up continues after wind driven snow cakes Fremont
FREMONT, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) —
The city of Fremont is now caked in snow after Monday's intense winter conditions.
Street signs were unrecognizable. The traffic lights were coated, and so were the power lines.
"The lights have been going off and on," said one woman.
For the people outside cleaning, the snow was just plain heavy.
It was so dense, it actually broke Gary Borgmeyer's snow blower.
"I try to do it by hand," said Borgmeyer referencing a snow shovel, the only tool left he has to tackle the accumulation.
Taking care of the driveway was one thing, but freeing your car of ice and snow was costing a lot of extra time.
"I'm trying to scoop ahead of us," said one woman trying to give out her car. "My daughter needs to get into Omaha for work."
