DEPUTIES: Man kills himself after shooting another man several times in Gretna
GRETNA, Neb (FOX 42 KPTM)-- Sarpy County Deputies are looking into a shooting that happened at an apartment complex on Westplains Rd. in Gretna Thursday morning.
Deputies say 50-year-old Michael Bartenhagen was shot in his car two or three times, then drove himself to the nearby Gretna Fire Station.
Investigators went searching for the shooter. They say it was a 52-year-old Scott Rieflin.
Deputies tracked him down at his apartment on Glenmore Drive, but when they got there, they say he had shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the Midlands Hospital.
Bartenhagen was taken to Bergan Mercy in serious condition. He is expected to be released from the hospital later Thursday.
