First responders educate public on active killer threats
Omaha Police, Nebraska State Patrol and the First Responders Foundation held a presentation Wednesday night.
The presentation, meant to not only educate first responders but also the public as well, was about active killer threats.
In lieu of recent mass shootings across the country the three organizations felt it necessary to do their part in educating those who call Omaha home.
Dozens of people came to the presentation including the mayor.
Slides were shown of the Las Vegas shooting, Boston Marathon bombing and many others.
The speaker, a member of the Omaha PD SWAT Team spoke to the public about the differences in active shooter and active killer threats and different ways you can protect yourself during deadly situations.
