Fontenelle Forest hosts Giving Tuesday telethon
OMAHA, Neb. —
First, there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Then came Giving Tuesday.
Fontenelle Forest has been a nonprofit organization since 1913 and it held it's the first telethon Tuesday.
People were able to call and donate any amount of money.
The money raised will go towards the upkeep of over 22 miles of trails as well as food for animals and their medical care.
"Giving Tuesday is really supporting all aspects of Fontenelle Forest being you like to hike, you love to come to our programs, or you love to go birding," said Molly Mullen of Fontenelle Forest. "Giving Tuesday will support every single aspect of Fontenelle Forest."
Last year on Giving Tuesday, more than 98 countries participated and over $170 million was donated to nonprofit organizations.
