Local children get new wheels for summer
Some children in the metro now have a new set of wheels for this summer.
More than 25 bikes were given to children from the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and the Ralston School District.
They were given brand new helmets and could ride their new bikes around the parking lot.
"It's fun," said Mikhail McQueen, who received a new bike. "Me and my brothers can have races all the time now, and we don't have to run all the time. I'm very excited because my old one broke."
The bikes were donated by Fareware stores and the variety charity.
