Omaha man gets his stolen motorcycle gear back after video post on Facebook
OMAHA, NE(FOX42KPTM)- One Omaha man is now thankful his motorcycle gear was returned to him. He parked his motorcycle in Gordmans parking lot, leaving his helmet, jacket and gloves on top of it. When he came out the store, his gear was gone.
"At first, it was a little unreal, like hey where's my things, did i take them inside," says Kalt.
He asked the store manager if he could see the surveillance footage. It shows a woman stealing his helmet, jacket and gloves.
Kalt says he knew he would not get them back. However, he decided to post the video footage and pictures of the woman to Facebook.
"It got over 3,000 shares, some people indicated that was their friend or they had known this person."
Kalt got a message from a random man on Facebook saying he had his gear.
"The gal had actually given the jacket and the helmet to some other gentlemen as a gift, a birthday gift," says Kalt.
"Once he found out they were stolen, he gave them to another gal to give back to me."
Kalt says he wants to send a message to other bikers to put their stuff away, before it's too late.
