Papillion motorcyclist dies after crashing into car that turned in front of him
OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) -- A Papillion motorcyclist has died after a crash Friday evening.
At around 5 p.m., police say Anthony Ruvalcaba, 19, was stopped at a red light along southbound 84th Street at Grover Street.
Moments after the light turned green, police say he turned left onto Grover Street, thinking it was safe to do so.
During the turn, police say 23-year-old motorcyclist Austin Mort hit the passenger's side of Ruvalcaba's Dodge Avenger.
Mort was traveling north on 84th Street on a green light at the time, police say.
He was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Shortly after 10 p.m., police confirmed that he died.
The four people in Ruvalcaba's car did not report any injuries.
Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to call the Omaha Police Accident Unit at 402-444-5626.
