Omaha firefighters hold fundraiser to help Muscular Dystrophy Association
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha firefighters are raising money to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
They held a steak fry Thursday to try and raise more than $100,000.
Dozens volunteered and hundreds showed up to show their support for the cause.
Proceeds from this event go toward finding a cure for muscular dystrophy as well as providing a camp experience for kids affected by MD.
"If we didn't have that fundraising me personally those camps are part of why I am able to live my life the way I am and wanting to be independent."
All of the proceeds will stay in our region to help our area Muscular Dystrophy Association.
