Omaha police visit Ronald McDonald House
OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) —
OMAHA -- Families living at the Ronald McDonald House got a special surprise Thursday when officers from the Omaha Police Department visited them.
The officers spent time with kids and their families and even brought a horse for the kids to play with.
Omaha police try to make it out to the Ronald McDonald House a couple times a month.
"Having an event like this is nice to have,” said Kathyrn Block, who lives there with her son. “It gets our minds off of things and gets our kids and siblings of sick kids to have some fun because being cooped up in a house in your own little bedroom, it kind of gets old."
Block and her son have spent two years at the Omaha Ronald McDonald House, and are now finally being discharged next month.
