Omaha Storm Chasers visit children at Madonna Rehab Hospital
OMAHA, Neb. —
Children at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Omaha got a surprise Thursday.
Members of the Omaha Storm Chasers gave the children a visit, signed autographs and took pictures with them.
Pitcher Jonathan Dziedzic says this is much bigger than baseball.
"Any type of opportunity we can to just give them a smile or inspiration or anything is huge," he said. "You'd think it brightens up their day, but coming in here and doing this, it really puts life in perspective as well."
Stormy, the team's mascot, was also there to bring a smile to the patient's faces.
