Omaha students step back into history
Children from one metro school were living history books Sunday.
Students from Fullerton Elementary School chose a person who shaped the city of Omaha into what it is today.
They stood by gravesites and gave public presentations about the person they selected.
Third grade student Kensley Parsons says it's good to remember important people.
"So many different people around here choose different people," she said. Parents and aunts and cousins and teachers walk around listening to your speeches."
Prospect Hill cemetery is the oldest cemetery is Douglas County with more than 13,000 people buried there.
