Update: Man found in hotel identified and reunited with family
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (FOX 42 KPTM)--
Council Bluffs police have identified the man as Tyler, 23, from Texas. Officers say Tyler's family was traveling through town in two separate cars and stayed the night at the hotel.
Thursday morning, the family left for North Dakota. People in one car say they saw Tyler follow his mother out of the room and thought he would be riding with her.
The family arrived in North Dakota at separate times. Police say no one realized Tyler wasn't in either car until they got there.
Investigators say the family called Council Bluffs police right away. Officers and the Iowa Department of Human Services were able to get Tyler back with his family early Thursday morning.
Police say this was an unintentional oversight by the family and no criminal charges will be filed.
Council Bluffs Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man they found at a local motel.

Police say he is unable to communicate with them, and they are trying to get him home.
He is roughly 5 feet tall, 150 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar next to his right eye. He is wearing the pictured purple shirt, gray shorts, and flip flops.
