Police: Speeding a factor in crash that sends 3 to hospital

A man has been cited in a crash that sent him and two others to the hospital Thursday night.

At around 11:40 p.m., police were called to a crash near 45th and Spaulding streets.

There, they learned that Jeffrey Schoville, 32, was traveling north on 45th Street when police say he struck a car traveling south, nearly head-on.

Caprazaya Evans, the driver of the southbound car, was taken to Nebraska Medicine to be treated for serious chest injuries.

Schoville was also taken to the hospital and is being treated for a broken ankle.

Police consider Schoville's speed to be a primary factor in this crash.

He is being cited for willful reckless driving and driving during suspension.

Schoville's passenger was identified as Rodriguez-Schoville, 39.

She was taken to the hospital to be treated for cuts and abrasions.

This crash remains under investigation.
