St. Patrick's Church gathers supplies for Harvey victims
ELKHORN, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) —
A local church is bringing people together to help people in need after Tropical Storm Harvey.
You can find semi-trucks sitting in front of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhorn through 5 p.m. Friday.
A group of people there plus some firefighters wanted to help gather goods for people.
They plan to head down to Texas to help those in need.
"We are fortunate enough here that we put the call and people really want to help and be part of something," Jessica Pulte, director of stewardship and development. "This has blown us away what is happening. Like I said, this is truck two. We thought truck one and we'd be good and now we're already well on our way."
The best items to bring are diapers, sunscreen, bug spray and bottled water.
You can find the trucks out in front of the church at 204th and Maple streets.
