Surveillance footage released of attempted robbery at Baker's

Police have released surveillance footage of an attempted robbery that happened last week at Baker's Supermarket near 156st Street and West Dodge Road.

It happened on Dec. 21 at around 11 a.m. when a witness told police a man approached the self-check stand and asked for change for a $2 bill.

Police say as the witness opened the register, the man showed a handgun and demanded cash.

The witness closed the register and the man ran out the door without taking any money, police say.
