Take Back the Night Walk aims to end sexual violence
"A lot of times survivors aren't the focus of the sexual assault topic itself.
The Women's Resource Center at UNO is showing women they have a voice when it comes to sexual assault and violence.
Some who organized the walk said the Take Back The Night Walk is meant to show support to those who have suffered or survived sexual assault or violence.
Over 40 people came to Thursday's walk and held signs saying all kinds of messages.
The biggest topic was consent, many signs talked about consent and rape.
Another marcher said these walks are important because they could help stop sexual violence on college campuses.
Another march will be held April 12th at 7pm on the Creighton Campus.
