Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall comes to Werner Park
OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) —
A traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display at Werner Park now through this weekend.
This smaller version, called "The Wall That Heals," has been traveling the country.
It has the more than 58,000 names of those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
For some, it’s a way to remember their past, and for some, it’s a hard reminder of our history.
"We need to remember them,” said Army Veteran RC Bammer. “Soldiers should never be forgotten. We try to keep their memories alive, and this is why we do this — to keep their memories alive."
The wall will be open to the public at Werner Park starting Thursday. It will be there until this Sunday.
