Omaha South HS cheer team performs at Holiday Bowl in San Diego
OMAHA, Ne (FOX42KPTM) —
Members of an Omaha cheer squad are enjoying their time in California after performing at a bowl game.
The Omaha South High Magnet cheer team was asked to perform at the Holiday Bowl halftime show.
However, to be able to get there, they had to fundraise and ask for donations from the public.
The squad members said they were excited to show off their skills.
"Well from all of us, it being our first time here was very exciting, and we would love to do it again for our school and Omaha," Adia Blackman said. "It just shows that even though we come from a small city that we can accomplish great things."
The team heads home Friday and enjoyed a variety of leisure activities while in San Diego.
