Franque Thompson - Reporter

Franque joined the Fox 42 News team in May 2012. Born and raised in the Cornhusker state, she is thrilled to start her professional career in her home town.

Franque is a proud "Eagle" graduate of Omaha Central High School, class of 2007. As a former beauty queen, Franque's love for pageantry and onstage presentation is what jump started her interest in journalism. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Journalism, December 2011 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Throughout her college career, Franque was busy learning all forms of journalism. She was a photographer for UNL's 2010 Election coverage, was a sports radio reporter for 90.3 KRNU and also covered the local news for her college station. Franque spent nearly three years as a student videographer with Husker Vision, UNL's premiere video production team for all varsity sports through the Nebraska Athletic Department. While in school, she also interned with WOWT. With a passion for fashion, Franque modeled in a number of shows featuring some of UNL's best up-and-coming designers.

In her spare time, Franque enjoys traveling, shopping, running, Husker football, more shopping, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, eating junk food and lots more shopping.
