Make your student a nutritious and delicious back to school lunch
"As a parent, I totally know and understand the importance of packing a healthy lunch," said Shannon Muhs, who's a mom and a registered dietitian with Hy-vee in Papillion.
She put out a spread of food to help us build a nutritious and delicious school lunch.
She says a well-rounded meal is best to keep your kids energized.

Of course there are endless combinations to choose from.
You'll want to know what your children like to eat, and bring them to the grocery store to help pick out the food.
Diane Peagler was at Hy-Vee with her two granddaughters Ruth and Shayna.
"They love fruits and vegetables, so that's never a problem with these guys, and just something they'll eat and not throw in the trash," said Peagler.
Peaches are among her grand kids top choices for snacks.
"Everybody's taste buds are different," said Muhs, "and I find some kiddos prefer non-meat options and some really like meat cheese and turkey and all that."
