Sheriff's Office releases name of Uta Halee Academy shooter

    UPDATE: Officials have identified the shooter as Matthew Lesley.

    Officials with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office say a shooting has been reported at the Uta Halee Academy administration building Friday.

    They say the call came in around 12:30 pm.

    According to officials, the school was placed on lock down.

    The DCSO says they are setting up a perimeter in the area and conducting an initial search of the building.

    They say a man was found down from a self inflicted gun shot when they arrived. Police believe this man was the shooter.

    Police are working to get a search warrant for the man's home.

    Officials say all Uta Halee Academy students are accounted for and no one has been hurt.

    Earlier today, a shooting occurred at the administrative building at the Uta Halee Academy campus in Omaha, Nebraska. All of the staff and students are safe. The shooter took his own life and no staff or students were injured. Law enforcement responded immediately and all internal protocols were followed. The shooter has been identified as the estranged husband of a staff member who was not on site at the time.” Dr. Tanya Martin, Principal of Uta Halee Academy
