Man hit while crossing road

OMAHA, Neb (FOX 42 KPTM)-- Omaha police say a pedestrian will likely be ticketed after he was hit while crossing the road.

Wednesday night around 6, officers were called to Abbott Dr. and East Locust on the crash. Officers say a Chevy Equinox was heading south on Abbott when Frederick Washington, 49, crossed the street.

Police say Washington had been drinking and the truck had the right of way.

An ambulance took him to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The Chevy driver was identified as Jonathan Pitts, 33.
