Mobile mammogram coach will visit different metro communities this summer

It's 38 ½ feet long!

Mammograms are a proven way to detect breast cancer before it's too late.

Now, people won't have to go to the doctor to get them anymore.

The mobile mammogram coach will be driving around different communities in the metro this summer.

Methodist Women's Hospital says it is reaching out to underserved communities and different local businesses.

The screenings only take 15 minutes.

Radiologist Richard Kutilek says it will save lives.

"Nebraska ranks in the bottom ten as far as screening mammography rates, so we're trying to promote breast health with screening mammography to the community," Kutilek said.

The mobile mammogram lab hopes to do 16 to 18 mammograms each day.
