OMAHA, Neb. (FOX 42 KPTM) -- Omaha Public Schools has confirmed via a letter sent to the staff and families of Nathan Hale Magnet School that a teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
The letter sent by Nathan Hale principal, Darin Williams, states "we were recently made aware of concerns regarding one our our teachers."
"We take reports like this very seriously. We immediately contacted our Human Resources department. They placed the staff member on administrative leave pending an investigation. We also contacted the appropriate authorities."
"As a reminder to our staff and families, if there is ever a concern regarding inappropriate conduct, reports can be made to the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-652-1999."
To protect student and staff privacy, OPS says they cannot provide additional details.
