New Nebraska State Patrol superintendent takes oath

LINCOLN, Ne (FOX42KPTM) - The Nebraska State Patrol officially has a new superintendent.

Colonel John A. Bolduc was sworn into his new job Monday morning during a ceremony at the patrol's headquarters in Lincoln.

Bolduc replaces former Superintendent Brad Rice. Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts fired Rice earlier this year after accusations surfaced that patrol leaders mishandled internal investigations.

The new superintendent previously served as vice president of public safety and police chief at the Port of San Diego.
