New spot for Rover to roam in Papillion
It's a new take on the traditional dog park.
"Bark Park Omaha" is the creation of TJ Heinhert and his family.
He said it was really a divine intervention.
The Heinhert's recently bought the six acres of land and weren't sure what to do with it.
But Heinhert's experience with the dogs park around the area convinced him to create his own.
The park opens Friday, June 1st and will hold a free grand opening weekend.
"Bark Park Omaha" will eventually house a "doggie pool," splash pad, tall grass to train hunting dogs and many other agility tools and places to play.
There will also be picnic shelter for private events.
But there are a few rules to the park.
Heinhert said, "We just require the folks that they submit their vaccination records, flea and prevention they need to be up to date on that and also have their dogs spayed or neutered. We also have an age restriction, we want all dogs must be 4 months or older to use the bark park."
If you're interested in becoming a member the monthly fee is $19.99 and $10 for each additional dog.
