NSP Troopers bring in 526 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop

SEWARD COUNTY, N eb (FOX 42 KPTM)-- A traffic stop along I-80 netted Nebraska State Troopers 526 pounds of marijuana Wednesday morning.

Troopers say a truck heading east in Seward county did not signal a turn and had improper lighting, so they pulled it over.

During the stop, they say the K9 with the trooper signaled that it could smell a controlled substance in the back of the truck.

Troopers searched it and say they found 17 boxes of high-grade marijuana worth about $1.5 million on the street. There was a total of 526.2 pounds.

Troopers arrested Robert Rahon, 27, and Felice Giorgetti, 38, both from California.

They were booked on possession with intent to deliver charges.
