Police need help ID'ing man involved in carjacking where man was shot

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (FOX 42 KPTM)-- The Council Bluffs police department is looking for help identifying a man they say was involved in a carjacking last month.

Investigators say a Nebraska man was shot during the carjacking.

On December 30, 2017 just before 5 a.m., police were called to the Horseshoe Casino on reports of a man laying in the parking lot who had been shot.

Officers say someone took the man's car, then shot him as he tried to run away from it.

Police say the gray Ford F-150 was found burned in Omaha on 45th street.

Investigators released pictures of the man they think took the truck. They say he might go by the nickname KJ and be in his late 40's to early 50's.
