Police search for two men in armed robberies

-

Omaha police say it's likely two people were behind an attempted robbery Wednesday afternoon and an armed robbery where a gun was fired Wednesday night.

It started at the PayDay Express on 39th and Dodge in Midtown Omaha Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say a man wearing all black walked into a store, pointed a gun at the woman working there and demanded money.

She told officers that she hid behind the counter and the man ran away.

Hours later, police say two men stormed into the Rodeway Inn on 78th and Dodge with their guns drawn.

The men were caught on security camera wearing all black, with just a little bit of their eyes showing through masks.

Police say the men demanded cash from an employee.

That person gave them the money, but then police say the two men fired their guns as they ran out of the hotel.

Surveillance video caught a look at the getaway car.

In the pictures you can see it has some damage on the rear passenger side.

The Sedan also has a sunroof.
