Postal workers collect food for Stamp Out Hunger drive

You don't even need to leave home for this food drive!

USPS workers plan to pick up more than just mail Saturday.

They will be collecting food for a food drive called "Stamp Out Hunger."

Organizers are looking for non-perishable food items in a bag.

You can then place it right next to the mailbox, and your postal worker will pick it up.

"I ended up growing up where my family was in need, and I remember church groups coming over and giving us bags of food," postal worker Andrea Malena said. "So it's just one way I can give back to my community as well."

The United Way of the Midlands partnered with the company Labor United to pull this off.

This is the 26th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
