Republican incumbent prep

Governor Ricketts spent his primary election day asking people to go out and exercise their right to vote.

But not just for him but for the other republican incumbents in Nebraska.

Ricketts is one of three republican candidates in Nebraska working to keep his job.

Rickett's has been in office for a little over three years and said he is confident the people of Nebraska will stick by him.

While the governor made calls his colleagues stayed busy as well.

Congressman Don Bacon jetted off to Washington after voting Tuesday morning and Senator Deb Fischer voted by mail.

Fischer didn't make any appearances before the results rolled in.

Senator Fischer and Governor Ricketts celebrated together at the Belvedere Club in Papillion Tuesday night.
