Santa visits neighborhoods in La Vista continuing a long standing tradition

Santa visits neighborhoods in La Vista continuing a long standing tradition

It took a little bit of time, but we finally found him. Old Kris Kringle himself was perched atop his sleigh, greeting people in La Vista Sunday.

"Santa's magical, especially for my two kids," said Genna Meurer, who waited for Santa with her kids.

The jolly old elf made his way around town, spreading that holiday cheer and underlining the reason for the season.

"It celebrates the life of Jesus," said a boy watching from the side of the road.

Kris Kringle's been riding through La Vista neighborhoods for 25 years.

"I like it honestly because first of all you get candy canes," said David Williams.

As fast as Santa rode into town, it was time for him to go.

The next time he'll be in the area is to deliver gifts for Christmas.
