OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) -- After a deadly Sunday afternoon shooting on Highway 75, Omaha police say they are now looking for a mid-90s Chevy Suburban or Tahoe with running boards and an aftermarket paint job. Investigators believe a person inside this car fired gunshots that killed one person and injured another.
Earlier in the evening, police identified both shooting victims, including Xavier Bass, who police say was shot and killed.
Police have identified the victims in the Sunday afternoon shooting at North Freeway and Hamilton Street.
Xavier Bass, 21, has died of his injuries.
Marcus Eiland, 24, has injuries that police do not believe are life-threatening.
The incident is now being investigated as a homicide.
Omaha police are investigating a shooting near Highway 75 and Hamilton Street. It happened around 1 p.m.
Officials say two men, aged 21 and 24, are seriously hurt.
One was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition, and the other was taken in extremely critical condition.
The initial investigation indicates that people in a suspect vehicle shot at the victim's vehicle while traveling southbound on the North Freeway.
All lanes going southbound in that area are shut down. Traffic must exit at Lake Street and find an alternate route.
