After she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, Kala Griepenstroh thought that her life was over. But she said after the diagnosis she turned to her friends and family for comfort and support through the months of chemo and double mascetomy.
Kala made other friends during her struggle too. After she started chemo, she was told her hair would fall out so she went to Inner Beauty to have her head shaved. There is where she met Lori Fuchs.
Fuchs is the coordinator for Inner Beauty and was in charge of Thursday's Cancer Survival Style Show.
Kala and over 100 other survivors, men, women and children walked in the show and showed off their newfound spirit.
This is the 7th year for the Cancer Survival Style Show and Fuchs said this year there was a great turnout and she looks forward to it every year.
Kala said she hopes to do it again next year and had a blast getting dressed up and pampered.
