Police continue investigation after traffic stop leads police to body
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — UPDATE 9/25: Omaha Police say they are still in the early stages of investigating.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen Jeremiah Connelly or his van recently.
They say Connelly has been out of prison since June 28 of this year.
They say he has been in Omaha, Council Bluffs, Fremont, Columbus and Valley since his release.
Police say he drives a 1987 Chevrolet G20 van with Neb. license plate number VYX 116.
Anyone with information about Connelly is urged to call Omaha Police.
Authorities say a man paroled in June is suspected of killing an Omaha woman and dumping her body in a ravine near Fremont.
Omaha police say 39-year-old Jeremiah Connelly was arrested Friday after a foot chase that began when he ran from a stolen car he was driving.
Officers say he spoke to them about the death of a woman, and investigators later found the body of 22-year-old Jeanna Wilcoxen. She’d last been seen Sept. 17.
Court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for Connelly. He’d been serving time in prison for attempted kidnapping, robbery and other crimes before being released June 28.
